A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of spending a couple of hours with newborn, Josie. She was only about a week old and I don't think I've ever seen such a mellow, sweet baby. These are a few of my favorites from the day. 
And a few of her showing some Eagles spirit with her dad. :-) 
I can't wait to do another session with Josie in a few months!
Katie and I haven't had a Saturday night free in what seems like forever! So this past Saturday night was a special treat. Mikey and I decided to make it a date night and go out to dinner. Yay date night! However, having not been out on a Saturday night in MONTHS, we kinda forgot about the long wait to get a table, like, uhhh, anywhere. We weren't starving, so that's good, but Mikey was parched. PARCHED I tell you! And when struck with the reality of having to wait 50 mins for a table, and thus, a drink of water, the following sad face occured:
It was our first time ever eating at Buca di Beppo, so of course we had to get the tour! But by the time we finally got to the table, I thought Mikey was going to die of dehydration and grumpy faces like this one were coming out full throttle:
And then HALLELUJAH! Beverages abounded! Notice that Mikey's water glass on the left is empty. He downed that thing in like 2 seconds flat. It was crazygonuts. But he also had a delicious treat waiting for him in the other hand, an Italian rasperry cream soda. YUM!
hehe. So cute.

Afterwards he even said "do you realize you always make that face? It's like your 'go to' face". And it's true. I have more pictures of me doing that face than smiling.
So yeah, that was our nice, relaxing, no longer dehydrated Saturday night. :-)
So, a few weekends ago Lauri and Mikey celebrated their engagement with a party...an engagement party! Jason and I of course were there and we had a great time. I am sad...and a bit embarrassed to admit though, that the only photo I have of the two of them from the day is this one...which I didn't take (Kira did...good thinking Kira, taking a photo of the engaged couple at their engagement party).
Anyway, as I said, we had a great time and in between partying it up I did take a few photos...like this one of Lucy. I know it's the obvious way to go to say how adorable babies are...but oh my God...can you even get over those little pigtails on top of her head???
Okay...and here's where the camera goes back to Kira. :-) This photo cracks me up...and I am trying to force Jason to make it his myspace photo. 
This little series here reminds me of college. I can't tell you how many photos I have of Lauri and I like this one below. 
So yes...there is a lack of Lauri and Mikey photos from Lauri and Mikey's engagement party. Don't be too upset though, we have plans and you can expect more of the two of them in the not too distant future. ;-)
Quick note... we've decided to do our posts a little bit differently from now on...or at least until we think of a new way to do things that we like even better. :-) Instead of doing slideshows, we're going to put all of our photos right here on the blog for you to enjoy.
If you've been checking out our blog for a bit you might recognize Charles and Adriana (and Adriana's sweet son David) from their engagement session post a while back. They are an incredibly wonderful couple who it's been a pleasure to work with. Their wedding was a celebration of the love and happiness that they've found in their new family and it was wonderful to be able to be a part of that.
